Bold, smoky, with a quiet heat from the chipotle — this sauce makes everything it touches taste more interesting. It’s the one that goes on the table and disappears before anything else. Beautiful deep colour, incredible flavour.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons of lemon juice (about half a lemon)
1/4 tsp paprika
1 teaspoon salt, to taste
¼ cup tahini
2 garlic cloves
1/2 a pepper worth of roasted red peppers (from jar)
1 chipotle pepper in Adobo sauce*
2 – 4 Tablespoons of water, or more to thin
Directions
Add all ingredients into a small high speed blender and blend until well combined. Enjoy!
Notes
Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce are smoked, dried jalapeños that have been rehydrated and canned in a savory-sweet tomato sauce made with vinegar and spices. They come in small cans and a great pantry staple to boost flavour in everything!
